Used for communicating the following hazards:
Corrosive (Category 1): Up to 3 sub-categories (1A, 1B, and 1C) based on exposure time and observation time before injury. 1A has exposure times under 3 minutes, 1B is for 3 minutes to 1 hour, 1C is for exposure times from 1 to 4 hours. "Severe" in nature.
Irritant (Category 2): Generally for injury or damage that persists for long periods of time; not as harmful as Category 1 but still severe. "Moderate" in nature.
Mild Irritant (Category 3): Lower irritation observed, and over shorter periods. "Mild" in nature, but still necessary to label.
